Working.....

It’s that time of year when pattern writing is top priority, the quilt layouts have been determined - now the pattern writing begins. Writing - making the test blocks - writing - making the quilt top - illustrating/writing/editing. There is a process behind it all. I use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign for my illustrations and pattern copy. Then throw in Photoshop into the mix for the images of fabrics and quilts.

This is a far cry from the old days of using a T-square, graph paper, compasses, scales and pencil/pen for drawings to vector based software (technical terms!). Now a days, we can trace, draw, flip, reverse, resize and cut/paste with a click a mouse - now that is fun.

After all of this is complete - the printing, packing and shipping takes over.

We had several orders going out this week - we were busy little bees for a few days.

So the writing, testing, editing and publishing begins again.
